The province of Punjab Government has started a new degree scholarship program for the students against honourable CM Maryam Nawaz. The idea behind this initiative is to provide free lifetime education for students who deserve, at any college or university where they want. Lining up with a significant budget of 25 billion rupees, the program aims to students who have secured high positions in all nine educational boards present in Punjab.

CM Announces Rs. 25 Billion Scholarship Program for Students
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had made the scholarship scheme official on August 20 during a prize distribution ceremony in Lahore. For us, the program worth 25 billion rupees is a large endeavour on part of Punjab government to invest in the future minds of province. Addressing the students, Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to their hard work and dedication as well as family that supported them in facing numerous odds with limited national resources and infrastructure.

CM Scholarship for Position Holders Across Punjab’s 9 Boards
The scholarship program will reward the best performing students from nine educational boards across Punjab. Maryam Nawaz distributing awards to 139 talented students who topped their exams at the “Leaders for Tomorrow Awards 2024 Ceremony” held in Ghaddafi stadium. After this, all expenses of these students were paid by Punjab government for the rest of their academic careers no matter they want to study.
List of Universities Covered by the Scholarship
Those talented students who can not afford to pay their tuition fee, the scholarship program helps them and those brilliant-minded boys/girls keep on studying in some of the best universities of Pakistan. The names of these institutions are LUMS, GIKI, IBA Lahore/ Karachi, COMSATS, Fast University etc. The government of Punjab has pledged that the tuition fee for these students will be taken care of by it, hence money should not hold back their educational dreams.
Transformation of the Education System in Punjab
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also laid out the long term vision of the Punjab government in overhauling education system during next five years. She also stressed the government´s commitment to raise education standards in state schools. Launched on September 5 in schools, as part of this initiative a new meal program will see milk packs for students from nursery to fifth grade. This program will first be launched in South Punjab, focusing to cure children of malnutrition.
