Online Applications For Kisan Card 40,000 Cards Available In 1st Phase

Punjab’s government is dispensing 40,000 Kisan Cards in the province in its first tranche. The card permits a farmer to withdraw money either by ATM or debit card at fertilizer dealer shops. Maryam Nawaz on a recent meeting in Lahore announced the launch of six major Punjab projects including the Kisan Cards and Green Tractor Scheme.

40,000 Kisan Card 1st Stage Distribution Has Been Started

The CM of Punjab initiated Kisan card distribution among people who were registered on 10th September. Firstly, 40,000 cards would be issued to farmers. These cards would be applied after 15th October. At one point of the time, around five lakh farmers would avail themselves of the Kisan Card. Kisan cards would be facilitated for the crops of wheat from the middle of next month.

The Kisan Card Scheme provides interest-free loans to small farmers and also makes it easier to buy seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.

Eligible applicants for the Kisan Card can apply online. If you have internet access and easily apply online you can follow the instructions to obtain your Kisan Card from the Agriculture Tehsil Office.

  • Create a mobile account (MA) or wallet (MV).
  • Buy the Kisan Tokens worth Rs 500
  • Complete the application process from tehshil office.
  • Documentation and submission
  • Once handed over, get the submit confirmation SMS
  • You would be able to obtain kisan card at Tehsils

Kisan card registration at Tehsil offices:

  • You can also get the registration by visiting the nearby offices if you have access to the internet.
  • Your district should be visited for its agricultural centers.
  • Contact the people within the agriculture office in person to discuss your problem areas.
  • Present the required documents for issuance.
  • Once you bring the documents, your Kisan Card will be issued.

  • Now, Punjab Kisan Card can be applied through SMS again.
  • Open your mobile messager.
  • Type in the text as: pkc <Space> CNIC number.
  • Send it to 8070.
  • dedicated balance needs to be attached for sending sms to 8070.
  • You will receive the text if you are eligible.
  • Farmers get the co-branded Kisan Card at agriculture tehsil office after 15 to 20 days.

Eligibility criteria for CM Kisan Card

  • The farmer should have a minimum of 12.5 acres of land.
  • The mobile SIM cards must be registered against the CNIC of a farmer.
  • The government should cross verify the ID card of the applicant using NADRA information.
  • A loan will be available for those farmers whose record is present in PLRA.
  • If you have paid the interest-free loan on time every month for six months, you are eligible for another loan.
  • Farmers will be digitally verified through PITB’s Farmers Registration Database.

Farmers can avail loans up to Rs 150,000 through Kisan Cards.

The Punjab government informed that up to PKR 30,000 per acre for 0.5 million farmers are available to issue loans under the Kisan Card Program. Interest-free loan and facilitation in acquisition of inputs are extended for profit-making output, improving agriculture productions.

Agricultural Mall Pilot Project has been sanctioned

The CM in Sargodha, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, and Okara has sanctioned the Agricultural Mall Pilot Projects through which farmers will be given pesticides, medicines, fertilizer, and agricultural goods. Under the CM Green Tractor Scheme, 10,000 tractors will be distributed to the farmers.

The Kisan Card Scheme is an important program for the farmers of Punjab as it will provide them with interest-free loans and subsidized agricultural inputs. 40,000 cards were provided in the first phase.
