The Punjab Govt introduced a new program for unemployed youth in the province. The key objective of this project is to make advanced technologies and facilities available for youth so that they can improve IT, etc. skills attracted residents from throughout the village. A meeting to this effect was led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and it deliberated on ways in which these Skill Development Funds could be utilized for reducing unemployment through training opportunities.
CM Maryam Launches Skill Development Fund
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz speaking at the inaugural ceremony said that Skill Development Fund is going to be huge help for Pakistani youth on way of financial independence. This is where the fund comes in, it will support to train young people on current technologies thereby improve their skills sets and they can be competitive globally. Noting that well supported and engaged youth constitute our national wealth, she said the young people should be given enough opportunities to achieve success.
IT Skills and Job Training for the Youth
The CM also received a briefing relating to the Punjab Skills Development Fund and its targets in terms of providing job training as well as IT skills development to the youth. Then a comprehensive roadmap was discussed that the program will create for empowering youngsters with required skills to make them win in today’s cut throat world.

It was attended by MPA Adnan Afzal Chatha, who heads the Task Force on Skills Development. The meeting was also attended by Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, CEO PSDF Ahmed Haleem Khan and others. They discussed the best way to operationalize it.
CM Internship Program Started in Lahore
A very important update during the meeting also saw this was introduction of Lahore CMP – CM Internship Program. This is a program to provide students opportunities in IT training and internships. The seats in these classes and internships will be available on merit, so qualifying students get a chance to learn something new.
New Opportunities for Youth in Punjab
The Punjab skill development fund has taken a giant stride in ensuring that our young population gets the training it deserves to be able. The youth are being trained about IT and other latest technology as government has a major focus on future job employment, in Pakistan as well abroad.
