Benefits Of Program CM Solarization Program
Discussing the benefits of this project, it was initiated by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif as a measure to benefit the farmers while reducing the high cost of electricity and diesel. Punjab farmers may change their tube well into the solar system by contributing only 33% cost while the remaining 67% will be borne by the Punjab government. This project will transform 7000 tubewells into solar power in the first phase and then it will be further expanded. The project of the Punjab government would not only provide more growth to the agricultural sector but would also make the farmers prosperous.
Eligibility Criteria
Under this program initiated by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, 7,000 tube wells in Punjab will be transferred to solar energy. Completion facility of registration under this program is available to the farmers of Punjab for benefiting from this program. It should be noted that not all the farmers are allowed because the eligibility criteria to avail this program has been established by the government of Punjab. From there on, only those farmers will get the opportunity who meet these eligibility criteria. Eligibility Criteria for Program Punjab
Application for this program applies when the applicant is a permanent resident of Punjab.
A farmer who is seeking to get into this scheme has to possess a Kissan Card; otherwise, the registration cannot be done.
He or she has to have agricultural land in the district for which the application is being filed.
For the authentication of ownership the applicant has to have a valid CNIC and also a document showing individual ownership which comes to mean that the ownership document of the land.
The applicant has to have an electric tube well with a power requirement not more than 15 KW.
The applicant should have the latest paid electricity bill on the tube well.
The tube well must be installed or prior to 31st March 2024 and should be installed with up to a depth of 60 feet from the water table. The tube well must be connected to three-phase electrical.
Procedure to Complete Registration in CM Solarization Program
We would like to inform you that registration for this program has not started officially yet. You can get all the relevant information and guidelines once Punjab Government starts the registration process officially. I do not know this yet. It would even depend on the kind of application you are referring to and some sources indicate that such forms for application would be available at the office of the Deputy Director of Agriculture-Water Management and should be submitted back to that office for completion of application. Still, it’s still too early to confirm this as the particular procedure involving applications would only be confirmed when the registration process starts.
