Therefore, the health facilities were given the status of BHUs in Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics in order to cater to more areas. Creating the framework of performance management for health staff and KPIs to measure performance has also been approved. Now let me tell you what is Type 1 diabetes.
In type 1 diabetes, the immune system in the body attacks the cells in the pancreas which produce insulin, hence the body will not produce insulin. Due to which the sugar level becomes high and the government has provided insulin so that the children of Punjab can take care of their health in a better way.
What is Type 1 Diabetes?
Diabetes type 1 is a condition whereby one suffers from the autoimmune response attacking the cells in the pancreas known as the insulin-producing cells. This causes an inability to manufacture insulin, and therefore fail to keep a check on the levels of blood sugar.
Autoimmune disease: The body’s immune system destroys the beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin.
Insulin dependence: A Type 1 diabetic will always have to inject insulin or use an insulin pump in order to keep blood glucose within target limits.
It is often an early-life disease: diagnosed for the first time at an early age in children, teenagers, or young adults, though it may start at any age.
