The Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced free cows and buffaloes to widows as well as separated women on behalf of the Livestock Card. According to this, all the widows and separated women under 55 years of age will be given free cows and buffaloes.
The registration has started. If you come across any poor widow or divorced woman in the vicinity then you can certainly get her registered too. For getting registered, visit your nearest veterinary clinic along with a copy of death certificate issued by your husband or divorce certificate along with a copy of your identity card and the SIM of the mobile number registered in your name.
There they will be registered and after registration, the government will give cows and buffaloes among them. Its aim is to empower the poor widows and divorced women of Punjab.
Under this scheme, they will be provided free cows and buffaloes and the cost of rearing and fodder for the cows will also be given so that the women can earn their living from them.
