The Hyderabad IT Aptitude Test
It was then a big event with largest number of young candidates (around 80,000) wrote the Hyderabad IT talent test. The test had been held in Niaz Stadium to select candidates on merit for free advanced IT courses. These results we achieved only from 54,000 participants & now they will learn the latest in IT like Artificial Intelligence, Metaverse and Web 3.0 As many of you know, this test is a part of the larger project started by Sir Syed University and supported enthusiastically by Sindh government to provide today’s generation with what they need in order for them to excel as lagging behind in digital economy can be very grave.
Courses in Advanced IT Technologies
The select few will get the chance to master some of the most in-demand and advanced technology that even exists today. These are Artificial Intelligence, the technology on which most other technological breakthroughs in different sectors including finance depend; The Metaverse — Virtual and Augmented Reality new paradigm that will rise after our actual computers to shape reality into bits & bytes; and Web 3.0, decentralization + blockchain as an operating model for everything happening over internet (as the whole Global Economic Organization runs this way). The initiative will be a career-booster for the youth and provide them high-paying jobs in tech-sector.
Benefits of Advanced IT Training
- High Demand Skills: AI, Metaverse, Web 3.0
- Global Career Opportunities
- Increased Earning Potential
- Contribution to the National Economy
Second Chance for Unsuccessful Candidates
Governor Tessori also gave hope to those who could not pass the aptitude test. He said that these candidates would be allowed to reappear for the test which they had failed so as to secure admissions in IT courses. It will be very much an inclusive initiative to ensure all young people get the opportunity of enhancing their technical skills. This reflects how the government is serious about broadening pathways for all, and not just those who performed well in a standardized test at the start.
Expansion of the IT Initiative
IT training programme is not just restricted to Hyderabad. Governor Tessori said that registration for the next round of IT courses in Sukkur would start within a few days. It plans to scale the project across all of Sindh, offering free IT training for thousands more of its youth. This would help the province to be transformed into a strong IT hub and encourage global tech companies in addition to creating thousands of new job opportunities for people.
Impact on the Economy
Governor Tessori emphasized the vast economic opportunity that could flow from this effort. Today participants in the program are making $600–$800/ month (or even as much as 2x or 3x their original income) right now. The kind of revenue that one million young people, earning $1,200 per month can generate for the country’s reserves and help bolster a youth livehood.
Conclusion
The Governor IT initiative may be one of the milestone in Digital Sindh. The program will train 54,000 students in the latest IT technologies and open new prospects for youth working to build Indonesia’s digital economy. With the program moving to other cities in Punjab (and I hope across Pakistan), this could very well be a game changer for future of IT in Pakistan.
