Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Chief Minister Transport Program for Women towards empowering women’s education in Punjab. Three-Phase Transport Program Rollout
The transport program is implemented in three tiers, therefore ensuring that each and every eligible girls’ college will be adequately supported. In the first tier, buses were provided to 19 tehsils that didn’t have proper transportation facilities. Such districts include Bhakkar, Sialkot, Chiniot, Kamalia, Malkwal and many more. Students will greatly be impacted by these buses if they have to get to classes dependent upon irregular or pricier transport.
More buses will be allocated to colleges in Nowshera Warkan, Dina, Yazman, Pindi Bhattian, and other districts by February 2025 as part of the second phase.
