On November 15, Pakistan’s Chief Minister brought a warm welcome opportunity to the youth. Her strong concentration on agriculture and major steps toward its development have led the launching of the Aqua shrimp farming internship program.Degrees holders in Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Zoology would be given an internship in shrimp farming. This will be conducted by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Six months internship at a shrimp farm in Muzaffargarh.
6 Month Internship At shrimp Farm In Muzaffargarh
The new aquaculturist will be offered an internship position with the Fisheries department’s Shrimp Farm in Muzaffargarh for a period of six months. A fresh candidate will be selected for this very office. These courses will help the trainees with real and practical worth skills and knowhow.
There is also a government plan to enhance aquaculture in Pakistan through producing higher output of aquaculture so that international demand for this can be fulfilled.
Raising shrimp on 100,000 acres
Says Maryam Nawaz, shrimp cultivating has tremendous economic benefits. Just with 100,000 acres of land she would generate more than one billion dollars in output. She would make barren land profitable and productive while being an instrument of growth for the economy by converting it into shrimp aquaculture. She adds barren and deserted land of South Punjab into the shrimp aquaculture project.
An allowance of 50,000 for aquaculture interns
For six months’ training period, the Punjab government will give new aquatic farming trainees 50,000 rupees per month for their expenditure and to run their household and developing their aquaculture experience.
Maryam Nawaz said, “Graduates with degrees in aquaculture, zoology, and fisheries will receive shrimp aqua farming training and a stipend of Rs 50,000.”.
Sourcing 10,000 To 20,000 Internship Jobs
Under this Aqua Tiger Prawn Farming plan, aquaculturists and investors will be provided with the supply of leased land, incentives, and all the equipment that will help develop shrimp farming. The project will generate 10,000 to 20,000 youth employment opportunities.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif stated, “Globally, shrimp is in huge demand.” This program focuses on the spreading of self-employment, financial independence, and financial freedom among the youths.
Application Through Online Portal
The youth who have completed their degree in aquaculture, fishery, and zoology can apply for this Aqua Shrimp Farming Internship Programme through the online official portal of the agricultural department. It is not clear what eligibility criteria and how to apply for this program were formed by the government.
